AISA School Heads’ Summit

Summit Description: Save the Date! Registration to open January 16.

Leading an international school in the AISA region is full of rewards, possibilities and potential. However, there are challenges and rapid changes which is why coming together in a supportive, collaborative space with peers is essential—offering you the opportunity to share insights, navigate challenges, and grow together as leaders.

Join us for the AISA School Heads’ Summit to connect, share experiences, and inspire one another as we work together to shape the future of education with purpose and passion.

Aim

To create an informal, solutions-focused learning experience for Heads with opportunities for conversation, peer-to-peer learning and collaboration in a safe space.

Description

The AISA School Heads Summit (SHS) is designed for school heads to informally learn from each other, build community, share and reflect on their experiences. As well as sharing expertise, the summit includes time to share worries, highlight innovations and plan for the future.

For heads new to Africa, it is a chance to get to know your colleagues and experience first-hand the collegial and generous spirit characterising the AISA region. All of this will happen in the beautiful surroundings Nairobi, where there will be ample time to relax and explore.

Participants can expect to:

  1. Engage in informal conversations and discussions with other Heads in our region to build professional community, make lasting connections and peer support.

  2. Discuss issues, worries and challenges from your professional practice and seek advice from your peers in Collaborative Enquiry workshops.

  3. Seek input from two other heads in a Consulting Group, discussing an issue of your choosing.

  4. Share Innovative Practices and successful solutions between AISA schools.

  5. Engage with future-focused issues in international education, consider your responses and plan in the Future Focus workshops.

  6. Participate in social activities that strengthen your professional networks including a visit to Victoria Falls and dinner at The Lookout with its spectacular views of the gorge.
