Purposeful Pathways: Deep-Dive Learning Month : Wellbeing for All
Session one: Becoming a Trauma-Informed School: What Every Leader and Educator Needs to Know
Schools are not only places of learning—they are also places where children, young people, and adults bring their lived experiences, including stress, adversity, and trauma. This session introduces what it truly means to become a trauma-informed school and why this approach is essential not only for student wellbeing and safety, but also for staff sustainability and school culture.
This session is designed to support schools in shifting from a mindset of “What’s wrong with this student or staff member?” to “What might be happening here, and how can we respond with care, clarity, and accountability?”—laying the foundation for safer, more compassionate, and more sustainable school communities.
