Neurodiversity in the Classroom #1 - Workshop

  • (GMT+0:00) Virtual Workshop (map)

Workshop Description: Register Today

Neurodiversity in the Classroom is a three-part professional learning series designed to help educators better understand and support neurodivergent learners. Rooted in inclusive, strengths-based practices, this series explores how conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other learning differences present in school settings—and how educators can create learning environments where all students thrive.

Participants will deepen their awareness of neurodivergent profiles, challenge deficit-based assumptions, and learn practical strategies to support access, engagement, and belonging. Through interactive activities, real-world examples, and guided reflection, educators will build confidence in implementing classroom practices that honor cognitive diversity.

This series emphasizes collaboration with students, families, and colleagues, and encourages educators to reimagine traditional norms in favor of more responsive and humanizing approaches. Through reflection, discussion, and evidence-informed practices, participants will explore ways to build more inclusive classrooms that recognize and celebrate diversity of learning, disability, and neurodivergence in our classrooms.

Whether you’re just beginning this learning journey or looking to refine your inclusive practices, this series offers tools and mindsets to meaningfully support neurodiverse students in any classroom.

As a result of participating in this institute, attendees can expect to:

  • Recognize key characteristics and learning profiles associated with neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other learning differences, and understand how these may present in the classroom

  • Apply inclusive, strength-based instructional strategies and accommodations to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of neurodiverse learners

  • Collaborate with students, families, and colleagues to co-create supportive learning environments that promote agency, access, and belonging for all students

The sessions will take place online from 13:00 – 14:00 GMT on the following dates:

Part 1: 18 Nov. 2025
Part 2: 25 Nov. 2025
Part 3: 02 Dec. 2025

Target Audience: Leaders, Classroom and elective teachers, student support teachers, instructional assistants, admissions coordinators, and all staff looking to learn more about neurodiversity. Everyone is welcome.
