This annual 4-part workshop series is back by popular demand! In 2025/26, we will explore important themes, tools, and strategies for authentic and purposeful service learning and community engagement. Any and all AISA educators are welcome to attend. If you’re new to service learning, you’re welcome! If you’re an experienced service learning educator, you’re also welcome! There will be something for everyone in this workshop series.
This series is designed to support AISA educators in growing and deepening their skills, tools, and approaches for curricular service learning and community engagement; storytelling strategies will be woven throughout the series to support this aim.
As a result of participating at this institute, attendees can expect to:
Collaborate and network with fellow AISA service learning educators
Learn new skills and strategies for service learning & community engagement
Engage with storytelling strategies for building strong school communities and an authentic sense of belonging

LeeAnne is an independent educational consultant, coach and facilitator for international educators, and she is also the Service Learning Program Coordinator at the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA). She specializes in storytelling, digital storytelling, service learning and global citizenship, and she loves partnering with schools and teachers to create learning experiences that have impact and lead to deep learning. She’s committed to helping educators build changemaker/ changeseeker cultures to equip students with skills and mindsets to engage in positive, purposeful action.
