Partnering to design inclusive schools across the AISA region
Lauren Jones, Founder, www.laurenjonesconsulting.com
Lauren Jones Consulting partners with international schools on their unique journeys to removing barriers for students, staff, and families.
The work rests on one belief: inclusion is not a programme added on to a school. It is a way of designing teaching, systems and culture so that every learner can access learning, engage with it and thrive. Partnerships often begin with a student support review that recognises existing strengths and identifies strategic focus areas. Multi-year action planning follows, along with on-site visits, virtual professional learning and ongoing consultation.
Across the AISA region, this looks different in every school. At the American International School of Lagos, Lauren is leading a three-year learning design implementation partnership, working alongside teachers and an internal core team on unit design, assessment and coaching. At Luanda International School, she is supporting the 2026–29 Inclusion Development Strategic Action Plan following a whole school review. Her Inclusive Practice Partnership with the American School of Antananarivo brought her on site this October. At QSI International School of Djibouti, she supports the student support team through a strategic partnership that combines consultation with virtual professional development. Other recent partners include Lincoln Ghana, Khartoum American School as a virtual student service coordinator, AIS Conakry and Greenhills Academy just to name a few.
Lauren is also part of the team behind the AISA Small Schools Resource Hub. The hub helps leaders of smaller schools build strong foundations in governance, finance, curriculum and leadership.
In every context, the aim is the same: practical, lasting change that builds the capacity of the people who know their students best.
