Keeping Students at the Centre
AISA has developed a number of student events, scholarships and awards in order to acknowledge and celebrate the awesome students that we ultimately endeavour to serve. So, though AISA is all about developing the leaders and educators at AISA member schools, it is ultimately about enriching the learning and school experience of all students within the AISA community.
AISA Service AwardsThe AISA Service Awards have been established to encourage schools to develop and promote service learning opportunities within their school curriculum. The awards are given in recognition of an outstanding project or student or group of students who are involved in a community service project in an AISA full member school.
AISA Award for ExcellenceAISA established the AISA Award for Excellence in 2008 as a way of recognising and rewarding the achievements of outstanding students within the AISA community. Successful nominees are students who have attained high academic results, but just as importantly, whose character exemplifies the association’s values.
Margaret Sanders Scholarships
The annual Margaret Sanders International scholarship is awarded by the foundation established in her name. In keeping with her passion for international education, the scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate character strengths such as persistence and motivation, resourcefulness, and acceptance of other cultures and points of view.
AISA Art ChallengeThe AISA Art Challenge is an exciting annual competition that seeks to foster and strengthen the connections amongst students in our member schools through art. It is also an opportunity to showcase some of the outstanding artwork from students throughout our vast continent.
The AISA-Global Issues Service Summit (GISS) is a three-day annual summit that motivates and encourages students to enquire about global issues and learn alongside other students and changemakers from across Africa.
