Lechwe International School

School Description
Lechwe International School is an independent private school founded in 1977. It has a tradition of all-round academic excellence and aims to provide a thorough education planned to meet each student?s academic needs and to develop his/her individual personality, latent abilities and talents.The syllabus is mainly British-based, but has been adapted to suit international educational needs, particularly for those students who will return to the UK and other European countries, as well as America, for tertiary education. Zambian students are well catered for and are able to sit the local Grade VII examination for entry to the Zambian system of education. Lechwe School is a charitable, non-profit making organisation which became a trust in march 1994.Lechwe School?s facilities and programmes are designed to equip the student of today for the needs of tomorow. Facilities include over 25 classrooms, an art and design centre, a science wing, computer studio, multi-purpose hall/gymnasium, a well-stocked library, administration, staff-room and kitchen blocks. There is also a well equipped sanatorium as well as a large swimming pool, with poolside catering facilities.
