AISA's Annual Conference, Retreat & Institutes

In October each year, AISA holds several professional development events for international school administrators and teachers.

  • Each year the AISA events programme comprises:
  • the All-Africa School Leaders' Retreat,
  • the All-Africa Educators' Conference,
  • the AISA Business Managers' Institute
  • and several post conference workshop sessions.

Conference Objectives

The AISA conference seeks to:

  1. Provide the highest quality professional development for participants.
  2. Give participants the opportunity to share their expertise.
  3. Provide participants the opportunity to make collegial connections.
  4. Provide participants some relaxing and social time.
  5. Promote a feeling of pride and professionalism among participants.
  6. Provide participants time apart from their daily routine to reflect on their career and daily teaching practice.

Events

These events are held in various locations in the AISA Region where one of our Full School Members  plays host.

There are many social events planned during these events, including the opening reception, the craft fair, and the final gala celebration which lasts into the wee hours of the morning. Administrators and educators have a valuable opportunity to meet their colleagues from throughout the continent on a professional and social level.

Many of our Associate Members also attend conference and often exhibit their products and services for teachers and administrators, as well as conduct workshops in their areas of expertise.
