Important Travel Information for AISA 2010

Kenya Entry/Exit Requirements

A visa is required for citizens of most countries. Generally, visas should be obtained in advance. Although visas are available at the airport in Nairobi, travelers who opt to obtain an airport visa should expect delays upon arrival. There is a fee for the visa, whether obtained in advance or at the airport. At the airport this payable in Euro, US$ or Pounds Sterling ONLY. The cost is subject to change so please check for up-to-date official information from the Embassy or Consulate closest to you and carry sufficient cash to pay for this.

Evidence of yellow fever immunization may be requested particularly if you are travelling from an area where the disease is endemic.  We highly recommend you have a yellow fever vaccination prior to your arrival in Kenya. Travelers to Kenya and neighboring African countries should ensure that the validity of their passports is at least six months beyond the end of their intended stay, and that their passport contains sufficient blank pages for visas and immigration stamps. (Info adapted from State Department Website: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1151.html)

Please visit this Government of Kenya Tourism website for further details of Visa Requirements. http://www.tourism.go.ke/ministry.nsf/pages/visa_information_centre

If you require a letter of invitation to obtain a visa please contact us at conferences@aisa.or.ke.

Note: AISA cannot be responsible for delegates who do not comply with Kenyan Visa Regulations. Please make sure you investigate how these apply to you well in advance.

Cheaper Travel Options EXCLUSIVELY for AISA Conference Delegates flying to Nairobi on Kenya Airways

This year, AISA is working with one of our partners (Charleston Travel Ltd) to negotiate substantial reductions in airfares for AISA delegates flying on Kenya Airways for the AISA School Leaders’ Retreat (15‐17 Oct, 2010), Educators’ Conference (17‐20 October 2010) and Business Managers' Institute (17‐20 October 2010).
