Conference Venue

The AISA 2010 Conference will be held at the Safari Park Hotel which is located along Thika Road in Nairobi. Although there are over 200 rooms at this hotel, these will fill very quickly in October.

Places are filling fast and AISA conference delegates are strongly urged to book their accommodation soon as possible.

Safari Park Hotel and Casino is a destination in a world of its own. This is a five-star hotel located 15 minutes drive from the City Centre of Nairobi and 40 minutes (traffic permitting) from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). Alternate Accomodation

There are other alternate hotels recommended by AISA with different categories of pricing and quality of service. Delegates should note that staying at these will require transport the to Safari Park conference venue. 

AISA will be providing transport from the LaMada Hotel and Utali Hotel to the conference venue. See conference transport schedule in printed programme.

1. Hotel LaMada

Situated on 8 kms from the city centre is the little secret Hotel LaMada. Hotel LaMada is a small boutique hotel located near the Karura forest. The Hotel is surrounded by forest vegetation, has rich birdlife and monkeys and has a river running through it. Hotel LaMada is perfect for those wanting to be close to the city and still enjoy the beauty of nature.

2. Utalii Hotel

Utalii Hotel is situated 20 km from JKIA International airport and 15 km in the outskirts of Nairobi away from the Nairobi Central Business District, along Thika Road.

It is a serene enclave onto itself. The hotel is conveniently removed from the hustle and bustle of the city of Nairobi.  The spacious grounds and beautiful gardens provide a peaceful country environment.

3. Other Hotels

AISA will NOT be providing transport to/from each of these other hotels. However, a 'Town Shuttle' will run between the Safari Park Hotel and the Hilton Hotel in the city for those who choose to stay in town. See conference transport schedule in printed programme for a detailed schedule.
