1-Hour Workshop

Title Using the PLC Model to Enhance Teacher Evaluation
Programme Educators' Conference
Days Offered October 19th (14:00-15:00)
Description In 2009, the AISL staff knew that the traditional teacher evaluation system was not giving staff valuable feedback in order to further professional growth. So a group of administrators got busy and revised our teacher evaluation model to focus on the improvement of instructional practice through the development and support of professional learning communities. Our new model has several phases teachers move through to identify areas of strength as well as areas where further growth is needed. Through professional learning communities, staff identify a focus, learn together and assess their own growth. Join Gaye to see how this process works at AISL and receive copies of all the tools that have been developed to support the implementation of this PLC model.
  1. Participants will understand how professional learning communities enhance the teacher evaluation process.
Target Audience Administrators and Teachers
Conference Material Handouts will be provided during the session.
