Brooke Peterson Finalsite EMEA Brooke Peterson has extensive experience in marketing, communications and business development through previous roles including as Development Executive in support of the University of Oxford and as Associate Director of Business Development at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Originally from the US, Brooke moved to Belgium in 2005. In Brussels she helped to lead communications at the International School of Brussels. This included maximizing the web presence of the school and the creation of online communities to bring together ISB's large and global communities. After several years as a client of finasite, Brooke joined the finalsite team in 2008 focusing on client services in support of finalsite's international schools, specifically in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Brooke continues to live in Belgium with her husband and two small children.

If you would like use online and mobile communications for marketing and teaching, however have limited time and resources, then this session is for you. 

There are a wealth of tools, utilities, plug-ins and other handy little pieces of technology that make life easier on the web. Not only do they save you time and energy, they often they are not expensive—in fact, many are free! Discover existing and emerging time saving technology made for the web and mobile applications, including freeware, safety tips, keeping “it” in the cloud and webmaster tools. 

We will also cover using smart phones for sharing, collaborating, editing and teaching, particularly with photos and video. This includes tricks for designing mobile sites and "mash-up" pages, which pull from social media. We will teach you how you can use smart phones to create content from multiple stakeholders in your community

It is no longer about just creating a website – but about creating global communities where all technology comes together, making it easier for teachers, parents and students and alumni to communicate and learn together.
